More than a quiz

Besides the quizzes in the eight worlds and the Mega Quiz, Kwizillo has thirteen games in four groups: Languages, Maths, the Runners and the Game Chest. They use the same pictures and voices, so your child keeps learning while playing something else.

The Kwizillo home screen with the Mega Quiz, the eight worlds and the Languages, Maths, Runners and Game Chest tiles

It all starts on the home screen

At the top is the Mega Quiz with 80 questions from every world. Below it you pick one of the eight worlds, with your level per world. Under Play more are four big tiles: Languages, Maths, the Runners and the Game Chest. You pick your level in every game, and everything works in all eleven languages.

Languages

Learn a new language with Milo or Luna as your guide: words, sentences, listening and speaking.

Languages: words

Words and Sentences

Milo or Luna says a word, you tap the right picture and hear “kikker means frog”. Fourteen themes of words, from animals and colours to clothes and holidays, and four themes of short sentences. Words come back until they really stick.

Conversations

Conversations

Listen to a short conversation between two children in the language you are learning and answer a question about it. Six topics: meeting people, school, food and drink, family and friends, shopping and getting around.

Speaking

Speaking

You hear a word or short sentence and say it back. Then you hear yourself played back. It works with or without the microphone, and your voice is never stored.

Maths

Four ways to practise maths, with one level that grows with your child.

Sums

Sums

Ten sums per round, in six levels. You start with adding and taking away up to 10, and grow through the times tables and division to sums up to 1000, halves, quarters and percentages.

Count the money

Count the money

Coins on the screen: how much is it altogether? Type the amount on the keypad. A playful way to learn to count money.

Measure & Weigh

Measure & Weigh

How long is the ribbon? Which is heavier? You read a ruler and compare lengths and weights. The timer only starts once the question has been read aloud.

Math Stories

Math Stories

Ten chapters of short stories: monkeys in a tree, apples at the market, cookies, a bus ride and pizza slices. You drag, tap or type the answer and check it yourself. Hints and explanations are free.

Runners

Two action-packed running games. The coins you grab go to the shop.

Mike & Mia: Jump & Slide

Mike & Mia: Jump & Slide

Run with Mike or Mia through three worlds: under water, Candy & Toys and space. Jump over monsters, slide under them, grab the jetpack and race through the loop. You choose how hard it is. With Race together two children race each other, each on their own iPhone or iPad.

Jack & Jose: Swing & Glide

Jack & Jose: Swing & Glide

Run with Jack or Jose through the jungle, the city or the sky. Swipe or use the buttons to dodge, jump and swing on vines, and grab coins and power ups such as the coin magnet. A run lasts 40 seconds.

Game Chest

Six games in one chest, from memory and puzzles to a real board game.

Memo

Memo

Turn over two cards and find the pairs. The pictures come from the world you choose, and Milo or Luna names each picture as you turn it. Higher levels add more cards.

Fun facts

Fun facts

One of 128 surprising facts at a time on a beautiful card, 16 per world, read aloud by Milo or Luna. New facts come first, and you can see how many you have discovered.

Photo Zoom

Photo Zoom

A photo starts right up close, on a tiny detail. What do you see? Pick from four names. Right away is worth 100 points; every zoom out makes it easier but is worth less.

What am I?

What am I?

Milo or Luna gives clues, one at a time, and you pick the right picture out of four. Guess it after the first clue for 100 points, after the second for 75 and after the third for 50.

Block Fun

Block Fun

A puzzle with colourful blocks. Drag each block onto the shape and tap to turn it until everything fits. Twenty levels that get a little harder each time, with a hint when you are stuck.

Treasure Trail: pick one of the six islands

Treasure Trail New

A board game on six islands: the jungle, under water, dino island, space, the snow and the temple. Roll the dice, walk the path with Kai or Asha, find three keys and open the treasure chest.

Points and rewards

Every right answer counts

Children see exactly what they have achieved. Everything they earn is kept in their collection.

⭐

800 points to earn

Every quiz you pass is worth 25 points, a whole world 100. Across all eight worlds there are 800 points to earn.

🃏

A card for every right answer

Every question you answer correctly becomes a knowledge card with a picture and a fun fact. With 1280 questions there is plenty to collect.

🏆

Golden cards

Every world has a shiny golden card. You buy it in the shop with coins from the Runners and the other games.

🎉

Buddies and awards

Right answers unlock 13 buddies, and 7 more can be bought with coins in the shop. There are 17 awards, from your first quiz and 7 days in a row to finishing a world in Mike & Mia and every level of Block Fun.

The welcome back screen: Hi Noor, ready to carry on?

Several children, each with their own game

Brothers and sisters can all play on one device. Kwizillo greets every child by name and shows where they left off, with their level, coins and day streak, and Someone else is playing switches player.

Why it teaches

Every answer is a moment to learn

Kwizillo is built on what works: short, visual, explained, repeated, and rewarded in a way children want to earn themselves.

Explanation instead of just right or wrong

  • After every question your child hears the right answer and why it is right.
  • A fun fact makes it stick ("A year on Mercury lasts 88 days").
  • Wrong is never a punishment: "So close!" and a second go at the same topic.
  • Again reads the question once more; Back revisits an earlier question.
Explanation after a question

Six levels that grow with your child

  • Level 1: 30 seconds per question and six mistakes allowed. Level 6: 10 seconds and no mistakes.
  • Higher levels bring harder questions first; a topic is passed only within the mistake rule.
  • All 32 topics passed? The next level opens automatically.
  • Maths grows too: from adding and subtracting to 10 up to times tables, division, fractions and percentages.
Maths with sums

Memory, language and listening

  • Memo trains memory with pictures from the worlds: 8 to 14 pairs.
  • Everything is read aloud in ten languages: ideal for early readers and for a second language.
  • With Languages your child learns words in another language, by listening and with pictures. Words that are hard come back more often.
  • The collection of knowledge cards shows what your child already knows, per world and topic.

Eleven languages

Play in your own language

Kwizillo comes in eleven languages, with both the text and the voices. Milo and Luna read every question, every answer and every fun fact aloud in the language you choose. Great for children who speak another language at home, or who want to pick up a second language while they play.

Learn another language too

With Languages your child learns another language, with Milo or Luna as a guide. There are Words and Sentences with pictures, Conversations to listen to and understand, and Speaking to practise out loud. Every language in the app can learn every other one, and words come back until they really stick.

Free: the Animals theme. Everything with Premium. Languages works without internet too.

Who it is for

From preschool to the last year of primary

Frequently asked questions

Can several children play on one device?

Yes. Every child plays with their own name and their own progress, points and collection. When it opens, Kwizillo asks who is playing, so brothers and sisters never take over each other's progress.

What age is Kwizillo for?

Roughly 4 to 12. Young children play with the voice and level 1; older children pick a higher level with less time and harder questions.

Which languages?

Eleven languages, from English, Dutch and German to Arabic, and Portuguese from both Brazil and Portugal: the whole app and every question. Switch any time; progress is kept.

Do I need internet?

All pictures, questions and games are inside the app. Only the quiz voice comes from the internet; without a connection the app keeps playing, silently. Languages works fully offline: words and voices are inside the app.

What happens on a wrong answer?

Your child hears the right answer, the explanation and the fact. Too many mistakes in a topic? Play that topic once more. Never a punishment, always a second chance.

When is the app out?

Kwizillo is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play, for iPhone, iPad and Android. Email us and we will let you know as soon as you can download it.
